Beaucoup de travail pour nous au chenil Makamic depuis notre retour de Fort-Kent. 2 journées complètes ont été nécessaire pour clairer l’incroyable bordée de neige qui nous a tombée sur la tête. Une fois le tout complété l’entrainement à repris de plus belle, Julie avec l’équipe de course plus facile pour elle à contrôler et Denis avec les ados question de leurs inculquer une certaine discipline qui leurs servira pour les 2 prochaines saisons de course ou le calendrier risque d’être fort remplie.
Les chiots aussi sont toujours en mode apprentissage de la vie, la dernière semaine pour eux a été consacrée à apprendre à vivre en société, avec les autres chiens, la vie de meute quoi ! .

Ici les Simpson avec Boris un de leurs frère de 1½ plus vieux.
Nous travaillons aussi pour terminer les derniers préparatifs pour notre conférence à l’école Terry Fox, au menu présentation Power Point, tirage d’objet promotionnelle de la Yukon Quest parmi les 85 étudiants présents. L’âpres midi sera consacré à la présentation du matériel de course et de quelques chiens et chiots, séance photo et autographe.

C’est aussi avec un peu de regret que nous vous annonçons que Tom notre chien réserviste à la Quest n’est plus au chenil. Dorénavant il promènera des touristes dans les Laurentides.
Lots of work since we came back from the Can-Am Crown 250, first 2 full days of hard work to clear all the snow that felt down in the week-end. After that the training as continue, Julie whit the race team that is more friendly to her and Denis whit the youngsters to put some discipline into them. It’s this early that you have to build a team to participate again in the Yukon Quest in a couple of years.
The puppy’s are also in training, the last week was dedicated to social behaviour as they meet the other dogs of the kennel. Presented are the puppy’s and one of them brother Boris 1½ years older.

We also work at putting the final touch for the conference that we going to give at the Terry Fox school in front of 85 students of six grades. Menu is as fallow, Power Point presentation and draw of promo article from the Yukon Quest, and in the afternoon outside activities and presentation of certain dogs and puppy’s and all the necessary gear for that type of race such as cooker, sled etc….. http://terryfox.lbpsb.qc.ca/
It is whit some regret that we also announce you that Tom ours spear dog for the Quest as left the kennel to run into a tourist business in the Laurentide, he will join there some other dog that been born here at Makamic kennel.
